9/24:  THE RETURN OF THE OPEN JAM
This Thursday the 27th, join us at home base (I'm trying hard not to use "McAuliffe's Pub" in YET ANOTHER news posting) for THE BOY's birthday / Open Jam!

8/21:  CRACKER!! ROCK THE BLOCK!!
This weekend!  We are excited to be opening for the band Cracker!  Friday night at McAuliffe's Pub (the old one -- on Meachem & Taylor).  Also, Saturday night, we will Rock the Block to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha at Used to be Slim's!  One cover charge gets you into a bunch of venues all up, down and around 52nd Street.

7/26:  GIT YOUR FREE SHOW ON
Join us August 10th at the new McAuliffe's on the Square when we break in the joint with a couple of other great acts, Jaded by Choice & Billy Orphan!  This will be a FREE show (meaning, we don't get paid.  You might have to :-)  See the shows page for more details!

5/14:  OPEN JAM SEASON FINALE
Just like your favorite TV shows, the Open Jam will be wrapping it up for the season.  Be sure to make it out to McAuliffe's Pub this Thursday (5/17) for the big cliffhanger!  Guitar raffles, drink specials, and music!   ... Also, we've added a handful of new shows, check them out!

3/21:  WICKED AWESOME SHOW ALERT
Join us this Saturday (3/24) at McAuliffe's (where else?) where we take the stage, opening for Oxygen and Town Crier.  This is going to be an awesome show, so be sure to catch it!

2/21:  RECORDING (finally!)
We've talked about it for a while now... Starting Saturday, we begin recording our first real album!  Look for that soon.  In other news, Open Jam @ McAuliffe's continues to rock, and we'll once again be playing the Thoughts For Food benefit, coming up March 3rd!

1/10:  HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Join us at Optyx 1/27 for a charity event with Fallen and Jaded By Choice!  $5 cover, raffles, and, uh, beer!

Also, we're still rollin' with the Open Jam every Thursday at McAuliffe's Pub.  We've got a handful of guitars to raffle, some PERSONALLY SIGNED by Brian Bell of Weezer and others by Joe Trohman of Fall Out Boy!  Don't miss your chance to win one of these cool guitars!

9/7:  THANKS, NEW SHOWS
We rocked Washington Island this past Labor Day weekend!  Special thanks to JJ McAuliffe, Josh Krug, Billy Nugent, Gary Wortham for jammin' with us!  See some photos here.  Also, added a handful of new shows, with more to come!

8/25:  PRESS!

7/26:  BENEFITS
Added a couple of benefit shows to the schedule... the first of which is this weekend!  So stop on by and get your rock on for a good cause!  Check the SHOWS page for more details.

7/5:  WHERE THE HELL HAVE WE BEEN?
We have collectively been doing a lot of soul searching the last few months.  We've halted hosting the Open Jam @ McAuliffe's Pub for the summer, so that we can focus on our songwriting and record a new demo.  We've already got a big handful of new songs, and it's definitely some of our best material to date.  Be prepared for a new Five Man Trio this fall!  Until then, we may throw an open jam in there somewhere... we'll keep ya posted.

2/23:  MYSPACE, OJ MOVES TO A NEW NIGHT, SHOWS
We have jumped on the MySpace bandwagon... visit our space and be our friend!  Also, Open Jam is taking a short hiatus until March 9th, when we move to Thursday nights!  But before that happens, we've got a couple of shows... check out the shows page for info!

1/16:  NEW, New, new...
We've got another NEW Dean electric guitar up for raffle... stop by McAuliffe's Wednesday nights to buy a ticket!  We've also got a New practice space, and we're polishing our existing stuff while working on some new tunes.

11/17:  SHOW ANNOUNCEMENT
Check out the new Trio at George's in Racine, December 9th!  We'll be playing with Lindsay Mac, a singer-songwriter-cellist!

11/16:  FIVE MAN TRIO WELCOMES NEW MEMBERS!
Joining the Trio are Matt Coss on bass guitar, Rob Krug on drums and John Pabst on guitar!  We're going to be writing new songs and gearing up for a "tour", but in the mean time, be sure to stop by the Open Jam and say hello!

10/27:  WINNER #2
Congrats to "Little Dave", the winner of our Dean XM electric guitar raffle!  He doesn't actually play, and he's little, so you could probably beat him up and take it from him.  Stay tuned for our next raffle, and more!

10/21:  SHOW ANNOUNCEMENT

9/19:  SEEKING DRUMMER
Five Man Trio is seeking a drummer to round out the, umm, quartet.  If you (or your toy wind-up monkeys) can carry a rhythm and are interested in playing original alternative rock music and the occasional cover song, please email the band at emailme@5man3.com.

5/18:  Revenge of the Open Jam!
On this, the eve of the release of the latest (and final?) Star Wars chapter, we have an announcement:  Your favorite band (ahem, Five Man Trio) is starting back up the Open Jam at McAuliffe's Pub!  Join us at our new night and time, Wednesdays at 8:30 PM starting next week, May 25th.  All musicians & bands welcome!  Full PA, guitar & bass amps, drums, etc. available.  Email danh@5man3.com or jmcauliffe@wi.rr.com for more info.

1/24:  Recording!
We've been recording for the last few months, and it's coming along quite nicely.  Right now, it's shaping up to be a double-disc set, one being electric and one acoustic (with special guest appearances!)  With any luck, we'll have at least a taste ready for our gig @ Thoughts For Food, March 5th!

11/3:  Goin' home to McAuliffe's!
Next Friday, the 12th, we'll be back at home with two other great bands, Fearless Leader of Milwaukee and Johnathan Kuss of Chicago!  This is a show not to be missed!

10/22:  Halloween with Five Man Trio!
We'll be rockin' the Hiawatha again next Saturday, October 30th, with Billy Nugent and INC.  Costume contest, music starts at 9.  $5 cover.

9/16:  GIG ANNOUNCEMENT
We're playing with the Sweet Tarts Saturday, October 2nd at the Hiawatha (hwy 11 & H in Sturtevant) at 8PM.  Don't miss this show!  Free beer 8-9, drink specials all night long.  $7 cover.
